Introducing weekly recipe sharing 😋 Suji Upma Kids are fussy eaters, our recipe of simple suji upma which is healthy as well as can be prepared quickly.
Ingredients 1 cup semolina (suji/rava) 2 tablespoons mustard oil 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans), finely chopped 2 cups water Salt to taste 1 tablespoon ghee Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions: Put some ghee, mustard seed and curry leaves in a kadhai, roast semolina on low flame until it turns golden and aromatic. Set aside. In a pan, heat oil.Add mixed vegetables and turmeric powder and cook for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.Add salt to taste.Gradually add the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.Pour 2 cups of water into the pan and bring it to a boil.Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it cook for 5-7 minutes or until the upma is cooked through.
